Ich, dein betrübtes Kind

The source cantata:

Title: Mein Herze schwimmt im Blut
No.: 199
Date: C. 1714
Occasion: Trinity XI
Scored for: S., ob., bassoon (not in all versions), stgs. & cont.

The transcription and its source movement:

Movement: No. 6: The chorale movement Ich, dein betrübtes Kind
Tune: ?? I know that it has been used as one of the tunes of Wo soll ich fliehen hin, but I haven't found out who the composer is. Perhaps somebody can tell me?
Text: "Ich, dein betrübtes Kind / werf' alle meine Sünd', / soviel ihr' in mir stecken / und mich so heftig schrecken, / in deine tiefen Wunden, / da ich stets Heil gefunden."
Originally scored for: Viola obbligata (in other versions of the cantata: violoncello piccolo or viola da gamba), Soprano (c.f.) & cont.
Transcribed as: A trio movement for organ with cantus firmus in the middle voice. Cantus firmus originally an octave higher.
Key in the cantata: F Major or G Major (in the earliest version)
Key in the transcription: G Major
Comments: In order to avoid disturbing parallels, which are easily heard in a trio movement, quite a few notes have been changed, but not too many, I hope.
