Öffne dich, mein ganzes Herze

The source cantata:

Title: Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland
No.: 61
Date: 1714
Occasion: Advent I

The transcription and its source movement:

Movement: No. 5: The aria Öffne dich, mein ganzes Herze
Tune:  - -
Originally scored for: S. & cont.
Transcribed as: An organ movement with 4 voices.
Key in the cantata: G Major
Key in the transcription: G Major
Comments: Bach wrote two voices only: The solo voice and the bass voice. The solo voice hasn't been changed at all. The bass voice has been simplified a bit. The remaining voices have been added by me (or contain notes from the bass voice, notated an octave higher). If you know Karl Richter's recording of cantata no. 61, you can easily see that listening to this recording was a valuable source of inspiration for me when I wrote the first part of the movement.
