Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele (a and b)

The source cantata:

Title: Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele
No.: 180
Date: 1724
Occasion: Trinity XX
Scored for: S., A., T., B., choir, flauto traverso, fl. I-II, ob., ob. da caccia, violoncello piccolo, stgs. & cont.

The transcriptions and their source movement:

Movement: No. 3: (Recitativo +) the chorale movement Ach, wie hungert mein Gemüte, based on v. 4 of the hymn Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele
Tune: Johann Crüger 1649
Text: Recitativo:
Originally scored for: S. (c.f.), violoncello piccolo & cont.
Transcribed as: A trio movement for organ in two versions:
a) A version with cantus firmus in the right hand.
b) A version with cantus firmus in the pedal (2'; range: from F to f).
Version b) can eventually be played on one manual + ped., and the c.f. can on many organs be played an octave higher (4').
Key in the cantata: F Major
Key in the transcriptions: F Major
Comments: 1) In the bars 6 and 16 (the second beat - the first eigth) I have notated an eigth (b flat) in the c.f., whereas Bach has written a rest. If you play the movement simply as an arrangement of Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele (as I do), the rest doesn't make sense, but if you prefer to call the movement Ach, wie hungert mein Gemüte (cf. the text above), the rest makes good sense, and it will be better to keep it unchanged.
2) The bars 2-5 have been added (cf. the bars 43-46).
3) In the bass voice I have notated some notes an octave lower than Bach in order to avoid crossing of voices.
