"Ich bin nun achtzig Jahr', warum soll dein Knecht sich mehr beschweren? Ich will umkehren, dass ich sterbe in meiner Stadt bei meines Vaters und meiner Mutter Grab."
Chorale:
"Soll ich auf dieser Welt / mein Leben höher bringen, / durch manchen sauren Tritt / hindurch ins Alter dringen, / so gib Geduld, vor Sünd' / und Schanden mich bewahr, / auf dass ich tragen mag / mit Ehren graues Haar."

Transcribed as: A trio movement for organ in two versions:
a) A version with cantus firmus in the right hand.
b) A version with cantus firmus in the pedal (4'; range: from f to f').
Version b) can eventually be played on one manual + ped., and the c.f. can be played an octave lower (2').

Key in the transcriptions: Version a): e minor - chorale: G Major
Version b): d minor - chorale: F Major

Comments: 1) In both versions most of the "aria voice" has been notated as if it were a soprano voice (an octave higher).
2) In version b) the cantus firmus has been simplyfied a little bit.
