Text: "Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan, / dabei will ich verbleiben. / Es mag mich auf die rauhe Bahn / Not, Tod und Elend treiben; / so wird Gott mich / ganz väterlich / in seinen Armen halten; / drum lass ich ihn nur walten."

Transcribed as: A movement with four voices (the first to be played on one manual, the second and the third on another, and the bass in the pedal). Cantus firmus in the upper voice of the left hand.
